The Krasnals

The Krasnals
Grupa The Krasnals rozpoczęła swoją działalność 1 kwietnia 2008 roku. Składa się z anonimowych członków, działających w znacznej mierze w przestrzeni wirtualnej, która jest dla nich głównym środkiem demokratyzacji sztuki. Założycielem i przywódcą grupy jest Whielki Krasnal – główny malarz grupy. Poza nim tworzą w niej m.in. Krasnal Bansky, Krasnal Hałabała 1 i Hałabała 2 oraz malarze współpracujący (Malarz z Chin, Malarz z Odessy czy Malarz z Krupówek). Sprzeciwiają się komercjalizacji sztuki, podejmują polemikę z zasadami rządzącymi jej rynkiem oraz z rolą, którą nadaje on artyście. Prowokują i komentują utarte konwenanse świata sztuki, prowadząc przy tym świadomy dialog z aktualnymi wydarzeniami sceny polityczno-społecznej. Istotny dla twórczości The Krasnals jest dorobek Wilhelma Sasnala, który określa „symbolicznym momentem zwrotnym, pewnym symbolicznym szczytem, przekroczeniem bariery, do której doszła formacja kierująca rynkiem sztuki w Polsce". Grupa znana jest ze swoich happeningów i performensów.
