Katarzyna Sikorska
Urodzona w 1997 roku w Częstochowie. Absolwentka Akademii Sztuk Pięknych im. Eugeniusza Gepperta we Wrocławiu. Jej praca dyplomowa została wyróżniona jako najlepszy dyplom malarski Akademii Sztuk Pięknych we Wrocławiu w 2022 roku. W swoim malarstwie zgłębia zjawiska światła i cienia oraz ich wpływ na przestrzeń. Eksploruje tematy związane z posthumanizmem i tworzy własną postapokaliptyczną wizję świata.
Artystka tak komentuje swoje malarstwo: "(...) zgłębiam zagadnienie światła i cienia. To światło, będące przeciwieństwem cienia, ale także umożliwiające jego powstanie, jest głównym bohaterem obrazów. Tworzy kompozycje i wyznacza przestrzenie. Moje pejzaże zbudowane są z prostych linii, płaskich plam i łagodnych przejść kolorystycznych. Bezkres i ogrom przestrzeni oraz otwarte kompozycje mają pobudzać do wyobrażania sobie kontynuacji pejzażu, dla widza już niewidocznej. Moje malarstwo przekazuje wizję przyszłego świata, pozbawionego życia, jakie dzisiaj znamy. Puste przestrzenie zorganizowane są jedynie przez krzywizny powierzchni, pojawiające się i znikające ściany, skosy, piony i poziomy. Postapokaliptyczny krajobraz pozbawiony jest ludzi, natury i ruchu. Jedyny ruch wprowadza światło, wyłaniające się z niewiadomego źródła. Dekoracyjne na pierwszy rzut oka detale to schrony, bunkry i stacje badawcze, będące jedynym dowodem działalności człowieka i jego chęci istnienia. Światło, sztuczne i tajemnicze, bez widocznego źródła, symbolizuje życie i odnowę, czyli nadzieję."
