Edward Dwurnik
Edward Dwurnik (1943-2018) wykształcenie artystyczne otrzymał na Akademii Sztuk Pięknych w Warszawie, gdzie studiował na Wydziale Malarstwa i Wydziale Rzeźby. Dyplom uzyskał w 1970 r. w pracowni malarstwa prof. Eugeniusza Eibischa. Będąc jeszcze w trakcie studiów, malarz stworzył swój najbardziej rozpoznawalny cykl malowideł pt. „Podróże autostopem", przedstawiający widoki z polskich miast, oglądane z lotu ptaka. W późniejszych latach artysta stworzył jeszcze wiele innych cykli, m.in. „Robotnicy", czy „Błękitne".

Warto wspomnieć, że Dwurnik zasłynął na zagranicznym rynku sztuki jeszcze przed transformacją ustrojową w Polsce. Ten międzynarodowy sukces osiągnął za sprawą udziału w prestiżowej wystawie sztuki nowoczesnej „documenta 7" w Kassel w 1982r. Portfolio malarza jest spektakularnie obszerne – biorąc pod uwagę jedynie obrazy olejne można doliczyć się ponad 5000 dzieł.

Edward Dwurnik – mnogość dzieł, jedność stylu


Artysta zdecydowanie nie stronił od eksperymentów w dziedzinie sztuk wizualnych. W jego dorobku oprócz zróżnicowanego pod względem technicznym malarstwa znajdują się rozmaite grafiki, w tym akwaforty, czy linoryty, a także rysunki na papierze. Twórczość Dwurnika charakteryzuje się cyklami opartymi o dany motyw przewodni, jednak w jego portfolio znajdują się też prace samodzielne, nie przynależące do żadnej serii.

Edward Dwurnik jako wybitny artysta osiągnął niepowtarzalny styl, dzięki czemu jego dzieła są rozpoznawalne, mimo tego, że jest ich tak wiele. Obrazy artysty uderzają wielokierunkowymi kompozycjami i mnogością detali, co można dostrzec np. w wedutach, w których to ulice miast, budynki, samochody i postaci tworzą skomplikowaną kolorową sieć. Sposób przedstawiania rzeczywistości przez Dwurnika jest schematyczny i skrótowy. Artysta często używał prostych kształtów, nawet w przypadku bardziej skomplikowanych form. Prace malarskie Dwurnika oddziałują czasem podobnie jak grafika, ze względu na syntezę stosowaną przez artystę.

Paleta barw jaką stosował artysta jest szeroka i obejmuje kolory z całego spektrum tęczy. Malarz miał niezwykłe wyczucie w kwestii barw, a zestawienia jakie tworzył skutecznie przyciągają wzrok odbiorcy. Kunszt Dwurnika w operowaniu barwą objawia się również w obrazach malowanych w wielu tonacjach jednego koloru, np. niebieskiego. Artysta perfekcyjnie umiał stworzyć w całości niebieski obraz w pełni zachowując czystość kompozycji i dbałość o detal.
