David Shrigley: The joke is serious.

A sense of humor is often mischievous … but it is not maliciousness, but acumen and intelligence that are its source.

A short overview of the work of David Shrigley, a British artist who creates photographs, objects and, above all, drawings.

Shrigley is one of the rare types of creators who successfully use a sense of humor, irony, playing with the context, situational jokes, and playing with the audience.

Like this announcement, which states:
While you are reading this advertisement from one of the windows above you are watched by a man who takes pictures of you to create a small model of you and play with it.

Or on this:
A gray-and-white pigeon with black feathers is lost. Ordinary size. Pretty lousy. There is no name. Please call.

In our opinion, a sense of humor should have its protection in the constitution and be recognized as a national good in a country where everything is for real and everyone is offended from the very morning.
